New eHarmony Feature: Icebreakers
Want to initiate contact with a match but don't know where to start? We get it: that's why eHarmony is introducing Icebreakers.
by eHarmony Staff
You join eHarmony, get matched with some great people—what’s next? Sometimes initiating contact with a match can seem daunting. That’s why we’ve created Icebreakers.
Icebreakers can be used to test the waters with a match, flirt, or simply request more information. Like a match’s profile? Tell them with an Icebreaker. Need to see a photo before moving to open communication? We have that too.
You can send one Icebreaker per match. When you receive one, we’ll send you an email. You can also check for Icebreakers on your “My Matches” page.
So what are you waiting for? Someone out there is waiting to hear from you!

“New eHarmony Feature: Icebreakers”
I received an icebreaker and the match was eagerly awaiting to hear from me, but I was unable to respond to my match, it says Ice breaker not available at this time, does my match has to be a premium memeber before I could respond, or did i overlook respose feature? pls advise, thanks..

I received an IceBreaker after sending one that indicated they wanted to try FastTrack. I went to the profile and clicked on FastTrack thinking this would indicate I agreed. But then it said that I had to wait till match agreed to FastTrack?? Did I do something wrong??
If' you're interested in the match, you should follow up the "icebreaker" relatively quickly with the first set of GC questions.
I've gotten "winks" on other sites (similar to ice breakers here), and they mean nothing... a waste of time, really. If you are interested, start REAL communication. Sending that first set of questions doesn't take any more effort than sending an ice breaker.
