Eyes are our most complelling and attractive facial feature.

They attract attention absorbing and refrecting energy of light and color of the outside world, but they also reflect our internal energy back into the world.

People say that our eyes are windows to our soul, they also say that true beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So, what do you, lovely people think? -
1. What do your eyes say about you, the kind of person you are, and your true inner beauty as a person?
2. What kind of beauty are you looking to find in the eyes of your partner (feel free to use the term SoulMate, but if you are a True believer)?

Eyes are a good place to look. *grin* They can say so much about your mood, even if that’s all you see of their face. Crinkly around the edges and slightly squinted? Happy. *grin* Eyes can also tell if you’re lying, bored, sleepy, interested, sad, joyful, and so on… They are an important part of the face, and people carry a lot of sophisticated biological hardware in them for looking at faces…

Eyes can hide things too. Mine are stained-wood brown with a few black flecks. Goes with my dark brown hair. Most people say my eyes look sleepy. If they are being provocative, they say I look like a crack addict. *grin* But past Significant Females have ascribed all sorts of strange words to them. Safe. Careful. Ingenious. Mischievous. Warm. Cool. All depending on who knows what context. *grin*

The eyes of one who I will be attracted to are a mystery to me. Color wise, I have few preferences, save only I find that utterly pale blue disconcerting. Normal blue, nice, very pale blue reminds me of a Classics professor I had- an Albino- who took every opportunity to be nasty because he was old and thought he could get away with it. My last girlfriend had brown eyes like me. *grin* Color is not really so important as context though.

There was a study done some years back- late nineties I think? That showed something interesting about men responding to women. Specifically, men showed a definite drop in long-term planning when confronted with certain female expressions. Men like to keep their women happy. *grin* It makes us feel good. When we see those beautiful eyes light up with joy, it’s like a mini-high. Chemical triggers in our brains click open and all sorts of good stuff for us.

I like to see little laugh lines around the eyes from lots of smiling. I like to see them clear, open, and doing what they do best- feeding information back to the brain. In this way, one could truly consider them windows to that most essential part inside. *grin* We humans are very visual creatures, and seeing our significant other human looking back at us is quite nice (usually! there are exceptions, I know).

Looking forward to see what other I’s out there have to say. *grin*

Interesting how important eyes are, isn't it?

I apparently have 'fine eyes'. Whatever that is supposed to mean, they just look like eyes to me! LOL I get words such as warm, approachable, friendly attributed to my eyes. Well, they all go well to describing chocolate .. apt, as my eyes are chocolate brown with barely visible gold/green flecks. As per Wootz, works well with my hair colour, which is one shade lighter than black. There are both life and laughter lines around my eyes.

I have no eye colour preference. I do prefer large, deep-set eyes. I like to see that he has laugh lines, that he easily maintains eye contact, his eyes show his intelligence and interest in life; and most importantly that when he smiles with his lips, the smile is there reflected in eyes too. He is very appealing when he can smile with his eyes and not with his mouth.
