It's been more than 40 years since I had to greet the world as anything but part of a couple. I have no idea what to say to anyone even on eharmony. The questions in the guided communication have nothing to do with anything I want to know about a person...male or female. I am not getting replies when I initiate. No one is initiating with me. What is the thing? I really don't know how. I have wonderful friends but they are all in pairs. I feel like an extra appendage.
I am smart, fun, ready to get back into actually living but I feel like the best idea may be just to go back to bed.
I have lost my husband and best friend. I am lonely beyond words. I really need to be alive. I promise not to go all maudlin on you. give me a chance team. The name of that tornado was cancer. It isn't my name.

Hey, me too!

Regarding the eHarmony ... umm ... uh ... it ... well, it may take ... a .. very ... long ... time ... and then, they disappear on you.

Happens to all of us.

If you're going to sue the online dating it's a good idea to spend some time here or eslewhere to come up to speed with how it works. Until then, just think of it as the Wild West.

Hi Glenda! I'm sorry for your loss.

If you read some threads, especially in "Using eHarmony", you will find that a lot of matches never initiate or respond. Don't take it personally. You have to hang in there.

If you don't like Guided Communication, you could use FastTrack. But since this is a whole new world to you, perhaps you would find the pacing of GC helpful?

There is a group on this board for widows/widowers to talk with each other; you might like it: Widow / Widower's Group -eHarmony Advice
