Does it help any of they're a wide variety of Lumbergs?

I've had alcoholic jerks, pot head jerks, racists jerks, tightwad jerks, lazy jerks, cheating jerks, condescending jerks and "I still love my ex" jerks. Okay, I admit, I've had a few of the last one.

So I figure I'll eventually run out of types of jerks and find a good one. Hopefully he won't rule me out for dating jerks.

Yeah....I think the pot head jerks would offset the tightwad jerks, and the condescending jerks would offset the racist jerks....so you're good.

Have you had LTRs with all these type of jerks?

I think before you get to the long-term point it's pretty much excusable to have dated any type of jerk. It takes a while for people to show their true colours.

A couple of months with Lumber wouldn't be an issue for me.

Married the alcoholic and the cheater before I realized that's what they were, even though we dated for a year and the other one a year and a half. With the others, the longest was 4 months. So that's bad and good!

I think most people have dated a "Lumberg". I know I have, mostly due to being gullible. I have dated people that have dated "Lumbergs". If someone doesn't want to date someone because who they have dated in the past, that really sounds immature if you ask me. If I am lucky enough to find someone in my life that is truly good to me, and cares then whatever past they have is the past and gone. Its what they do and want with their life at the moment that matters.

I'd say that I myself have dated one woman that I'd consider a 'Lumberg'. I dated her for about 3 months because it took me that long to see the big quirks in her personality that were behind her intelligence and attractiveness. Incidentally, I met her on eH.

It depends, does she still have feeling for "lumberg" or not. If she doesn't have any feelings for the guy and realizes she made a mistake than it won't matter what I think about the guy. And if she still had feelings for the guy, no matter what I felt about the guy, the fact that she still had feelings for someone else would tend to make me lose interest anyhow.

I wouldn't shut out a woman who dated a Lumberg, but I wouldn't definitely be interested in finding out why she dated him in the first place.

Were they the kind of quirks that you think should have been relatively easier to see early on?

Maybe I'm not on the same page as you are about exactly what a 'Lumberg' is.

To me a 'Lumberg' is the type of person whose personality flaws are so obvious that you can't imagine how anyone could have dated them.

My most recent ex had some big quirks behind her intelligence and attractiveness. Don't know if I would consider her a Lumberg though.
