ok, similar situation, he gave me his number to call, when i was ready, no rush. so i waited days, until a week day, in the middle of the day, sure he would be at work. blocked my #, called, expecting voice mail, message, something, but..... he answered!!! AAAAAHHHHGG!!
Duh, cel #, kept it on him at work, carp!!! Rolled with it, stated who I was, let him pick it up from there. awkward? yes. Worth it? yes
