| Interests: | Currently many of my interests can be divided into academic and social. I enjoy reading, learning new things about the world i live in and about others. I have an unquenchable interest towards biology and how the human system works (am 100% going into the medical field, that is without a doubt). Everyday i try to learn a few things about myself and others. I devote a good amount of time to my friends, I am a social being at heart. I can spend hours reading and studying, but i still yearn for human interaction. I will do a variety of activities with my friends, anything to have a *healthy* good time. I love to make people laugh, i find humor to be one of my strongest qualities. I can be sarcastic, but my sarcasm is not meant to be bitter, but to invoke laughter from people. |

Love is something you do, and something others do to you. There's an energy flow to it, something spiritual if you will. When you feel someone loving you, a lot of us refer to that as "love." But in order to love the person who makes us feel that way, we have to actively love them. Love is giving, not merely passively receiving. That's why there's so much more tied up in love than just an emotion. There's respect, admiration, trust, and a lot of other qualities that aren't on the tip of my brain. All of those are what cause us to love someone, or to choose to love someone. I loved a woman for 14 years, and I loved her in part because I chose to, because I focused myself on the qualities that I saw in her. She wasn't capable of loving me back the same way, because she was content to feel the feeling of being loved and continue to call that "love." It sounds cynical but what most of us call "loving" someone is actually them "loving" us. Maybe it's semantics, but that's the way I understand it. -anonymous Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. -John Lennon When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years. -Mark Twain You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you don't trust enough. -Frank Crane The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship. - Ralph Waldo Emerson When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. - Heen Keller We read the world wrong and say that it deceives us. -Rabindranath Tagore The relationship between commitment and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is healthiest when it is not without doubt but in spite of doubt. -Rollo May Without hope, life becomes a depressing statistical reality. - Anonymous We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery. -Samuel Smiles Make it a rule of life never to regret and never to look back. Regret is an appalling waste of energy; you can't build on it; it's only for wallowing in. -Mansfield The good lawyer is not the man who has an eye to every side and angle of contingency, and qualifies all his qualifications, but who throws himself on your part so heartily, that he can get you out of a scrape. - Ralph Emerson Lying is done with words and also with silence. -Unkown More About Me: People see me as a kind, compassionate, dependable, trusting, and intelligent human being. I have a desire to help people in my life and that especially includes my friends. I will always make time to help a friend that is going through a rough time or needs advice. Life is about making relationships and I am grateful in my ability to do so. I am young, a mere teenager ready to spring into the next stage of life and to embark on an eight year adventure of undergraduate and medical school. Even though I am young, i have already learned and develop many characteristics and qualities that I find to be important in a relationship. I am communicative, i am able to express my feelings and thoughts to people. I am patient and trusting, rationale and at heart a romantic. I have a multitude of characteristics that make me a truly unique person (as every human being does). I value honesty, integrity, openness, kindness, rationale/stability and compassion. These are qualities that i have myself and like to see in others. My life is just beginning, but i have already started to think about and seek a person whom I could live a happy life with. Seems to be unusual for my age, but i prefer it this way because i know what i want to do with my life (though we are all vulnerable to change, there are key goals that most people have in their lives). That's a brief snippet into who i am =). -
